1. Why do we use cookies?

On the whole – we try not to use cookies at all except where absolutely necessary for functionality. And we use zero tracker cookies at all. Our websites only use the bare minimum of functionality-based cookies to distinguish you from other users and manage your session(s).

• Strictly necessary cookies.
  These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services.

  These are used to recognise you when you return to our website. This enables us to personalise our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
• Analytical or performance cookies – We do not use analytics cookies. Our main websites e.g. iamcloud.com & www.tunedin.io and portals e.g. iris.iamcloud.net portal.iamcloud.net – plus third-party SaaS systems including our support desk support.iamcloud.com and status page www.iamcloudstatus.com  – use a pro-privacy web analytics system called Plausible, which does not use cookies. Plausible’s pro-privacy analytics tool only captures minimal data, is fully anonymous, and is exclusively limited to activity on our own website.
• Tracker cookies – We do not use tracker cookies. Ethics are important to us, and we are a pro-privacy company. Consequently we do not use “tracker” cookies or any kind of “retargeting” advertising system. Retargeting is the type of advertising where you go to a website, and then you’ll start seeing that companies adverts on other websites and your social media feed. We don’t like them ourselves so we don’t use them for our customers or partners.
