A connector’s primary role is to handle access management processes including authentication, federation and single sign-on. There are a number of common open standards for authentication and federation, including SAML, WS-FED and LDAP. IAM Cloud can support all of these protocols, and in cases where the application doesn’t support them – IAM Cloud has a number of options here too including ‘formfill’ technology, which in effect allows IAM Cloud to automatically enter the username and password into an application login screen and press ‘submit’ without the user having to re-enter any credentials. This gives the feeling of single sign-on, without the need for federation. IAM Cloud also has an SSO Toolkit that allows you to enable SAML in your custom applications.
Below is a sample of the connectors we already have setup in our platform. If you can’t see the one you’re looking for don’t worry, the flexibility of the IAM Cloud platform means it takes less than a day to set-up a new one!
