CDM V3 enters private beta
We have not made any public announcements or product updates for some time, and wanted to briefly give everyone some good news. Our next generation CDM technology has now gone into a private beta program with around 70 organisations comprising customers and partners with a wide variety of requirements and IT environments. The feedback so far has been exceptional, and we could not be more pleased about it. We are still holding back on providing too many details at this point because, after over 5 years of development, we don’t want to ruin the impact by giving away too many spoilers.
But we are now on the final straight of our journey, not just to replace CDM V2, but to completely change how organisations of all kinds can control and manage their cloud storage.
An update will follow in 6 weeks and another in 12 weeks. By then, we’ll be able to announce the official release date, and begin planning the transition of around 3000 organisations to the new technology.
12 June update: Assuming no unforeseen circumstances, we expect the next release on or around the 27th June. More updates to follow.
4 July update: Some VDI compatibility functionality took slightly longer to complete than expected, but it is now done. We are due to be code complete this week, and have a week of final testing to reach pre-release. We are aiming for launch of our V3 pre-release client on 17th July.
